Central Florida build weekend Sat 29 & Sunday 29 of June

Postby kiskat23 on Thu Jun 19, 2008 9:07 pm

Folks,

I'd like to envite all Floridians (and any other Toyota enthusiasts from surrounding states) to the SW side of Orlando for a build weekend! I am located near Champions Gate (exit 58 on I-4) and this map should clue you in Google Maps to the location. We'll start at 9 AM Saturday and finish up sometime on Sunday when everyone is done. There is wheeling to test out new mods on close to my house (Arch please get with Malcolm to see if we are welcome at Wallaby Ranch as well). Bring your suits and a change of clothes as I have plenty of room for guests and a cement pond. Please post what you are interested in doing while here (I'll add you to the master list below) so I can arrange for tools (I have a complete box & grinder & vise but, if we need things like welders or floorjax I'll be looking for volunteers). Look forward to seeing everyone and meeting some newbies. K

Karls FJ Cruiser-Scuba mod, change fluids, fix roof rack lighting (Greg?)
Zach's 4Runner-Stereo & Wiring

Good luck on the mods. I have plans for that weekend and can't make it. Post up some pics of the upgrades.

No problem Jerry. I will drag you over to the house from Wallaby Ranch on the 4th weekend for some advice on Jake's 40 if thats OK. He has been working like a heathen on it for the last 10 days. K

Hey Karl. Hows Jakes 40 coming along(have any pictures of it?)? Did Zach buy a 4Runner or did you give him yours?

Wish I could be there, have fun.

SKY, I wish you were here almost as much as your dad does. Jake's 40 is in the demo mode. We took off the front end and 1/2 the interior this week. I'll try and get some pix this weekend. Zach has my 96 4runner and de chromed it this week and it looks awesome. He took off the running boards and chrome trim around the wheel wells and we painted the rims, grille and bumpers black. It looks killer. I'll send pix soon. Get your butt down here we have some cool places to explore and grouper to slay. K

It went great. I think we had 11 cruisers and we got a ton accomplished. My sons 4runner's stereo got fixed and I got my light on my FJ running (with alot of help from fellow FJ'rs). My younger son and I bought a project a year ago and hopefully it will be his first ride. It is already roadworthy it just has a ton of body work (big surprise). I will have another build weekend this month at my house so everyone can get all of their mods done. Karl
