Do you have a jack that can be placed under the axle to lift the truck to change the tire, instead of using your high-lift jack which can be very unsteady? Y N
Do you carry a foot square, thick piece of plywood to set your jack on so it doesn’t sink into the sand/mud? Y N
What device do you carry that will help reset the “bead” of your tire if it separates? Y N

Someday I'll be the lead truck, I'm tired of dust...
Situation: You’re in a group of five trucks on a trail ride. You are number four in line.
Before you start out on the trail, you all need to…

What is the best use of your rear view mirror?
a. Make sure there are no bugs on your teeth
b. Keep the truck behind you reasonably in sight at all times.
c. Watch your friend, who is in the passenger seat, for some great facial expressions.
d. Try to shine sunlight into the eyes of the truck behind you.
If the truck behind you is having difficulty getting through/over an obstacle, you should…
a. Keep going to give him room to really hit it hard.
b. Get out the camera and be ready for some carnage.
c. Park your truck up the trail and walk back and offer help and/or spot for him.

The truck in front of you is going slowly through a long stretch of deep water…
a. You should try to pass him because you have larger tires.
b. You need to get up close on his bumper so you get less water on your grill.
c. Get out your gig stick and look for frogs
d. Let him get all the way through before you start.
The lead truck says over the CB, “Six pick-ups heading our way, make room for them.” You immediately…
a. Stop, pull out the lunch makings and set up places for eleven people to eat.
b. Holler back that pick-ups are not allowed.
c. Find a safe and legal way to get off of, or pull over to the side of the trail to let them pass, letting them know there is one more truck after you in the group.
d. Don’t move over and then ignore them as they pass, and display how “put out” you are.
You all have stopped on the side of the trail for a lunch break, and now are ready to get back on the trail…
a. Get out a trash bag and make sure all your trash, paper, cans are collected and the bag is secured in your vehicle.
b. Get out a shovel and toss some dirt over your pile of trash.
c. Put some trash in front of each tire so it is crushed into smaller harder to see trash.
d. Tell others that it was from the guys in the pick-up trucks who messed up the place.
